Howard/Nancy!!!! This is the first time I saw this and could FINALLY get to post a reply., I am so sorry to hear what Nancy has been going through. You can believe that the both of you are still ini my prayers every night and will continue to be until she is "home free". I have asked several of my neighbors to place both of you on their church prayer listings, which they said they would. I know they work!!!! Please continue to maintain a "Positive Attitude" as that also helps. May the Good Lord watch over both of you during this time.

WE LEFT THE HOUSE YESTERDAY AT 6am TO BE DOWN TO HERSHEY FOR NANCYS SURGERY. WE HAD TO BE THERE AT 8am FOR ADMISSIONS. SHE WAS SCHEDULED FOR 10am FOR SURGERY, BUT SHE DIDN'T GO UNTIL 12:15. THE PLASTIC SURGEON FELL BEHIND. NANCY'S SURGERY WAS DONE AT AROUND 1:30, BUT I DIDN'T GET TO SEE HERE UNTIL 3:30. WHEN I TALKED TO THE DR, HE SAID EVERYTHING WENT WELL AND HE PUT A DRAIN TUBE IN TO HELP THE INCISION HEAL. HE CAME IN THE ROOM TO SEE NANCY AND TO SEE HOW SHE WAS DOING AFTER RECOVERY. HE WAS TOLD BY THE NURSES THAT THE DRAIN WAS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. THE SIPHON BULB AT THE END OF THE DRAIN TUBE WOULD NOT HOLD A VACUUM. HE ENDED UP CUTTING PART OF THE DRAIN TUBE AND BULB OFF AND HE SAID THAT THE DRAIN WILL WORK WITH OUT THE BULB AND ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS KEEP DRESSINGS OVER THE END OF THE TUBE AND TO CHANGE THEM FREQUENTLY. THE DRAIN IS WORKING AND WE HAD TO CHANGE THE DRESSING 3 TIMES ALREADY. NANCY WILL HAVE THE DRAIN REMOVED ON THE 17th OF NEXT WEEK BY ONE OF HIS NURSES, BECAUSE HE WILL BE IN GERMANY FOR A CONFERENCE AND SHE SEES THE DR ON THE 24th OF THIS MONTH FOR A POST OP VISIT AND TO SEE HOW THE INCISION LOOKS AND MAYBE REMOVE THE STITCHES. I HOPE AND PRAY IT CLOSES THIS TIME SO NANCY CAN HAVE THIS DONE AND OVER WITH AND WE WANT TO TAKE THIS TIME TO SAY THANKS AGAIN FOR ALL YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT AND PRAYERS.

WELL SO FAR THE DRAIN IS DOING ITS JOB AND WE'LL FIND OUT TOMORROW WHEN THE DRAIN IS REMOVED. THANKS AGAIN FOR ALL YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT.

THE DRAIN TUBE IS OUT AND SO FAR THE INCISION LOOKS GOOD. WILL FIND OUT NEXT TUESDAY WHEN WE SEE THE DR IF THE STITCHES COME OUT OR NOT. KEEP THEM FINGERS CROSSED.
