Today I got back in contact with fellow NAFCM; troutman1981: Joshua  Gale; 1st off he's been doing joint training @ Ft. Lewis WA. with U.S.ARMY. 2nd He'll be heading back Overseas, 1st time was Iraq, this time he's going to Afghanistan. Departing this Tuesday 10-20-'09. He's consented that I share his contact info. requesting any help in NAFC-Members that would be willing to send "Care-Packages", e.g. Soap, Shampoo, Toothpaste, General Personal Hygiene-Articles, Foot-Powder, ect...He's very busy getting ready for Tuesday, yet this is his personal e-mail addy; josh_gale1999@yahoo.com  _ goes between josh_gale...the rest. He also asked that I give yall his APO addy;

Joshua Gale

FOB Farah

ATTN: Air Force 436 APS

APO AE 09382

Josh/troutman1981: also stated that "Care Packages" need not be "Gender Specific", **"NO WOMEN" will be where he's going. Josh did mention he's now a SSGT. sewed his rank on in June/July'09. Josh will keep in contact with me & probably others from NAFC? When he gets the chance, also he's not sure of internet set-up where he's going. I'll keep yall posted as info is obtained! I've sent him & his unit X-Mas Cards from students @ a couple of schools here in San Antonio, Tx. He mentioned it would be "NICE" if this could happen again this year. I hope yall can help with this show of "APPRECIATION" to Josh, & possibly others in his unit. The above APO is Accurate/correct. I'd like to Thank any/everyone that helps out*, "Take Care", L8r. Thank you to Josh for his service.  I wish he had a little more time, I'd take him fishing.  Lewis is just up the road a ways.  Be safe over there and maybe when you get back if you drop in Washington again .

 *"GREAT NEWS", Just got an e-mail from Josh a while ago. He states he's doing WELL, & to "Thank" & Let Yall know* He also mentioned that some HandSanitizer would be good in any Care-Packages* FYI: Time difference from U.S.E.T. is 8.5hrs. More. Then when Daylight-Saving-Time; 9.5hrs. Also, I found out from U.S.P.S that they've got a Special-APO Military Care-Package Box. Youcan put as much as will fit. From Here in S.A.Tx. Max$ is $11. Guess you'll have to check your local P.O. for any difference. Until next time, "Take Care", L8r. James,"VATO LOCO"<;({})><

The USPS has thier Priority Packages set at Large 12X12x5.5 for $11.95.

Allows for up to 70 pounds I believe.

Will prepare a few of these for Josh.

Question: What type of calling cards for cellular air time does he use?

James, I figured people here will see that Josh gets a few boxes, so I went to the USO website and sent three boxes.

They put a box together and deliver it for $25.00. The box retails for $75.00 so your buying power is tripled.

Also, you can send it as a memorial to someone or as a honorarium to a liveing soldier. (If you do the later they send a notice email to the soldier telling them that a package was send from them to another soldier.) I dod that for Josh on two packages.

If anyone else wants to do this, here it is....

https://www.uso.org/donate/custom.aspx?id=565&p=352

Darlene and I did 3 today (Sunday) and will do 2 every month until they all come home.

James, What I'd like is if these cell phone companies would allow us to transfer our unused minutes to soldiers.

I have so many unused roll over minites it is not funny. I never use them all. I get something like 1400 a month and use maybe a 100.
