I own my own business so often work comes first, but I also go fishing on short notice in the afternoons during the week. Especially during the summer when fishing seems to be the most consistent here (if you can take the heat). This works well for a lot of the active duty marines at MCAS Yuma since a lot of their work days start early and often end early. If you want to go let me know. I don't visit the NAFC forums very often (maybe a couple times a month), so its best to keep on eye on the Take Me Fishing section on my forums, or send me a PM on my site. www.YumaBassMan.com

Also, if you have Sundays off you might check out my fishing club. Yuma Pro Am. Its a draw team format, and a lot of active and retired marines fish it. Perhaps half the club. www.yumaproam.com One tournament a month and you draw a different random partner every month so you get to fish with lots of different people.

ALSO... I have some fun backwater places to go that tournament clubs never fish, and even one or two that I have to paddle in with my canoe, walk across the desert portaging my canoe, and then drop it back in the water. I have a cradle roller for the canoe so its usually not horrible, but its still hard work if you are up for it. Also, lots of places I go taking my smaller bass boat (The Tin Can), and of course my big bass boat on the big river.

Pitching in to help with gas is appreciated, but a lot of young marines and especially those with families may not have it to spend. If you are fishing with me and you can't afford to help out just let me know up front. I probably won't burn a tank of gas running 15-20 miles up river, but I know my way around Yuma pretty well. Lots of places we can go have a shot at a toad that don't require a huge fuel expenditure.

New York non-resident annual license

Just wanted to let other club members know New York increased the non-resident annual license from $40.00 to $70.00. A nice 75 percent increase. So when you see New York fishing advertisments remember they see us only as a cash flow asset and don't care about the money sport fishermen bring to their economy. Life Member Mac

I joined the club a couple months ago because I wanted to reintroduce myself to fishing and I wanted to really start to learn how to catch fish too. I have a 17ft bass tracker that we can use. I also know alot of lakes in wisconsin to fish, im just looking for information on possible good fishing lakes.

I just fished a "Fishing for Freedom" event here in central Texas and even though it was a cold, wet, windy day on lake Belton I had a blast!! I CHALLENGE this "CLUB" and every member in it to do everything we can to thank a Vet for the freedoms we have and enjoy!!!! I think this Club could do an event or events and not only would it benefit Vet's it would benefit this Club!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
