Any Bow fisherman out there?

I just recently field tested a bow sight cover for my bow. If there is any bow fisherman out there I highly recommned this cover for complete site protection when not in use. It is well. Easy on easy off in the field.

1969 American Falls Dry

I ran across this story...with previously unkown pics...of 1969...when water was diverted away from American Falls (next to Niagara Falls)..and thought some of you might like to see them

http://news.yahoo.com/nphot...dryniagara

View from top of de-watered Niagara Falls

A view from the top of the de-watered Niagara Falls in 1969 in New York. Unearthed after 41 years by American Russ Glasson, they were taken by his mother and father in law and show when the famous waterfall was turned off for almost six months. For six months in the summer and autumn of 1969, Niagara’s American Falls were “de-watered”, when the Army Corps of Engineers conducted a survey of the falls’ rock face, concerned that it was becoming destabilized by erosion. During that period, while workers cleaned the former river-bottom and drilled test-cores in search of instabilities, a temporary walkway was installed twenty feet from the edge of the dry falls, and tourists were able to explore this otherwise inaccessible landscape.

Drum

How many of you have fished for the freshwater drum. I have and thought that they put up a good fight. We caught them on twister tails in a canal by the water control gates and in a bass bluegill lake. We used mainly ultralights and got nice contests from them. The biggest one I have caught was a 12lb on 4 lb test line. A friend of mine was fishing for catfish one night and caught one that weighed 32.4 lbs, said it took him an hour to get it in, took picture and turned it loose. It would have been a new state record if he would have taken to a certified scale.

We think they are good eating when filleted like a white bass.

CRAPPIE FISHING

Noticed a new book listed as a bill on my account. I can hardly wait for it to get here. So much that I thought it might do a lot of us some good to share the topic separately for a while from just pan fish. New Book: "CRAPPIE TACTICS"
With the Fall season just ahead why not share some of those little tactics that put slabs in the box. Uncle Tom
