Bass tail

I caught this bass today. Weirdly in about 8 feet of water. Despite the fact the tail is really worn down, it looks as though it was bedding or shortly off the bed. Does anyone know if the lower portion of the tail will grow back?

XPS 8 Advanced Braid

Has anyone tried the new XPS 8 Advanced Braid from BPS? If so, how do you like it? How does it compare to Power Pro and Suffix 832? I am looking to respool my spinning reels with 20# braid, and with the sale at BPS I am wondering if this braid is a good alternative to either of those braids. Thanks for any info you can provide.
White Bass Spawn

I live in Northeast Kansas and was wondering when the white bass spawn is? Also, I'm thinking spinner bait for lure. What would you white bass fisherman reccommend?

Last week I was at the boat show in Topeka, Ks and the Perry Lake biologist was there and mention white bass. He
said this year a good place to fish would be the the Hwy 92 bridge area. The lake is 5 1/2 foot below normal pool
level and due to the low water the white bass will be unable to continue going North up the Delaware River as usual.

Any info on the spawn would be appreciated. Thanks, Kscatfisherman

Catch phrase when you hook up!

More of a fun topic then an informative topic, but I was wondering what everyone says when they get a fish on. Now I'm looking for something besides "Fish on". Example... Last year mine was "Got 'em" and this years is " Can't teach that" . My buddies and I like to find sayings besides "Fish on" when you hook up or land one. I thought I'd see what everyone else says if anything. We have fun with it and you might too. Let me know.... BassinSig

How to lure stubborn smallmouth on riprap

On my favorite lake there is a point on the main channel that smallmouth tend to flock to, but I can't get them to bite. What are some suggestions of lures and techniques used to fish riprap on a fairly fast drop? Early morning you can see the fish in the shallows but won't hit a buzzbait. When the sun gets high they move deeper (15-20 feet) but I can't entice them. The water visability is about 10 feet and stained most of the time. Any advice would be appreciated

Worms

I have always fished for bass in the ponds close to my home. The bass there are so numerous that it would make no sense to go anywhere else to get them. the only problem, for some is to catch them. That is not my problem but my problem is how to catch them on a worm. I have tried carolina and texas rigs, jigs, you name it and I cant gget a bite! can somebody give me suggestions as to when, where, and how to fish them? I would also like to know about selecting colour and size of the worm.

Braided Line

Thinking of putting Braided line on one of my rods to try it out. Not really sure which way to go go about it. i usually use monofilament and flurocarbon. I have heard people using braid with a flurocarbon leader. I was wondering which pound braid i should use? what type of knot works? to use a swivel or not? Basically i am interested in hearing peoples opinion about it.
