Greetings everyone....used to live in Indiana when I was married, but as fate has it I'm moving back to Indiana, SE Indiana in a town called Borden in Clark County....I'm a Disabled Combat Veteran restoring my boat planning on having it on the water this spring....moving end of March....so would like to get to know any members in that area....

l read the post about the panfish tournament in Ohio, and was wondering why no one has organized one in lndiana. lt sounds like a lot of fun. lf l knew what l was doing l would organize one myself. What would it take to get one started here in the Hoosier state? Do we have anyone who knows how to organize one?

My father and I have a boat dock at Parie Creek Resivor outside Muncie In. I have fished it several times this spring and summer. Always to walk away with a very mieger catch or none at all. There is a lot of bait fish swiming around but know big fish. I have only caught a few small cats and my father has only caught a few Crappie and Bluegill in two years. we have tried different locations, different times of day. Still no big fish. My question is where are the fish at. if you can help me find fish at Parie Creek it would help a deeply frustrated fisherman.

anyone out there that can maybe give me some ideas on what lake on the chain might be most productive for pike fishing in april? jimmerson, snow, james, etc? should i be looking for shallow weeds with drop offs. i am not too familiar with the lakes, i do know where the sand bar is and poktagon state park is, both in the same area, let me know if anyone has been pike fishin in these lakes, what kind of success i should expect, and lure choices that may/have worked for you

Salamonie Lake

Was getting ready to head down to Salamonie Lake State park for Labor day weekend bringing the boat with me and camp for 3 nights. Anyone got any hints on where to get away from the boats and catch fish? What is the best species of fish to catch in the lake, what bait/ tackle to use, how deep all that good stuff to make it a good fishing weekend. I only have a 14' v- bottom but, it gets me where I need to go and catches me more fish then I would have standing on shore lol!

Panfish tournament in OHIO

A few of us guys from the ohio chapter are putting together a small fun panfish tournament at CJ Brown Res on May 21st. This is at Buck creek State Park east of Springfield. Would like to invite any of you from Indiana that are interested to come and join us. I will post the details if there is anyone that would like to come. We usually have a fish fry afterwards.
