Knowledgable Fishing partner for Kentucky Lake

I have tried fishing Kentucky Lake a few different times but with no avail. I am looking for someone who knows the lake and is hardcore about fishing and would like to go spend a day and maybe into the night catching some catfish. I will supply the boat and everything as long as you can supply the knowledge. I am willing to learn and I love to catch fish. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks.

Need rain

We do not need, any sever storms. But, need some big rain. The last time the TVA, updated their sight. Was yesterday, evening. Lake Barkley, was at 356.55 feet. And falling. We are forecast for .61 inch of rain. Hope we get, at least, that amount. The fishing, has been very good. In spite, of the low water. More water, will only make things better. Bass, catfish, and red ear. Are what, I have been catching. Hoping to hear some rain on the roof, tomorrow.

Didn't last too long, guess evryone gone fishing. If anyone wants to know they are catching lots of bass on cranks, rattletraps, and the good old Alabama rig on Kentucky lake and some on Lake Barkley. Some fish are already on the beds, a lot are in transition and scattered. Crappy bite is also good on both lakes, with the larger ones being taken on Kentucky

Went to small pond yesterday. Didn't have much luck. Had a east wind. Anyone have much luck when the wind is out of the east? Always heard bass don't bite on an east wind.

It is a brick home on two beautiful lakefront lots with a dock, and a big carport in back for storing your boat in winter

Small Water Fishing

Anyone Catching Trout?

We have a few small lakes and ponds here in northern Ky that the department of fish and wildlife stock with catfish and trout throughout the year. They are part of the FINS program. www.fw.ky.gov Anyway. I have been trout fishing a few times in the past 3 weeks, and I've done pretty good for the most part. Last week my buddy and I caught 21 between us in about 3 hours. Too bad stocked trout have a 5 fish limit. I only caught 3 today, but I had multiple good runs. Is anyone else catching trout around the state?

Hello, anyone still come in here that actually lives in Kentucky? I have been off for a long time, I cooked my old computer and bought a laptop that my three year old broke the second day out of the box and it took several months to get it back from the shop. Then I blew my back out for the second time and I am just now able to sit long enough to type a little bit. All good now, I even went fishing for the third time this year a few days ago and caught a nice channel cat. Well, I hope all is well with everyone. TTYL!

Lake Barkley Catfish

The catfish are finally hitting on Barkley from the shore. My son, daughter-in-law and I went out yesterday and caught three right away that went about 4 lbs apiece. No sooner had we started catching them and the sky opened up and here came the rain. Nice and heavy. Cats stopped biting and we headed home. Hope to get back out tomorrow. Can't wait for the lake to rise more so I can get the pontoon boat out on the water.

I am selling my 1995 PartiKraft 24ft Pk2424 XL with 115 Mercury Outboard. I want to sell it for 2 reasons.

(1) to get rid of the monthly payment and (2) to buy a bass boat

Obviously there are more than 3 Ky members on here. Maybe Jim, Woody, and myself are the only active posters, but there are more of you here reading this.

My question is: Would you like to participate in a Ky member meet? A simple yes would be great if you would like to. The rest of the info will be posted here later so that you will not need to post again(unless to say I'll be there). If you're not interested than no reply is fine. I know our active members would like a meet, and we also plan on entertaining at least two other members from out of state. If anyone would like to make this happen please let me know. Thanks.
