There was a chevy pickup parked at Trout's Yacht Basin on Sunday, June 9th that had NAFC Life Member stickers on it. I fish out of there all year, and was wondering who the Member was that owned this truck.

Has anyone here tried an Emmrod Packrod? It's a short steel rod with built-in springs. There's a version for different kinds of reels. It looks like it might be good for longer casts and for fishing in brush. Its sold at roxierods.com. Also, does anyone know if the Berkely-produced Johnson spin-cast reels are still as good as the original Johnson reels?

Heard reports of a few perch being caught near the mouth of the Saginaw river. sorting them but a lot of jumbo's this year. If fishing the Saginaw regular perch rigs are illegal but Crappie rigs are legal. The rules are in the fishing manual.

Ice fishing is still good up here. Fishing for salmon, trout, white fish, smelt, and perch. You need a snowmobile to get around in a lot of places. To much snow for a quad.
