Okatibbee 10/11/05 Great morning

Originally posted by: Stevej on 10/11/2005 1:28:46 PM

I guess I should say 1 1/2 hrs this morning, nothing the first and last hour, I think the wind laying killed the bite. Great keeper to throwback ratio also. I keep 15 and threw back about 6 or 7 at the most. Had 3 between 13" and 14" and even had 3 keeper blacks. Was wondering if they ever got over 9 1/2", 10" limit on Okatibbee. Had to keep my jacket on the whole time and I am loving that. The fish wanted something with green or chartreuse in it and they also had to have a crappie nibble also. I was fishing the creek drop-off in from 10" to 8" of water and when I found that stump they would bite. Had a great time unlike the last time out when I only caught 1 throwback.

It would be great if each state could have their own chapter to get all the members from their state together and set up a state meet too! Please put any thoughts, ideas or questions here and let's get the ball rolling on a "State Chapter"...
