What is going on in New Mexico? The last post was from last year. I live in El Paso but fish mainly at Elephant Butte. Anybody from this area?

I'll be in Albuquerque next week and will have an afternoon/evening to wet a line if anyone can recommend something for me. I'm not necessarily looking for a host, just looking to fish while I'm there.

Does anyone have any hidden or secret fishing holes?? Any private ponds or streams?? For example the fleece river i never knew this place was there till a friend took me out there.... Just off the map places.....

Thank you NM and fishenchantment for a lot of memories. I will never forget all my friends or the 28 years I lived in Albuquerque. As of last May, my wife and I retired. We sold our home, and my wife, myself, our son, and his fiancee all moved to Kentucky. We bought a real nice home here out in the country. Six blocks from Lake Barkley and Deer hunting 100 feet out my back door. This is living. I'll be sure to stop up to fishenchantment if I can remember all my log-in info. New Mexico Muskies Inc

Last year a chapter of the National Club "Muskies Inc" formed here in NM. It's name is NM Muskies Inc, the 59th Chapter of the organization. It's a non profit organization with the goal of having fun, our slogan is "Fisheries-Education-Community" The Chapter has been working very close with NMDGF managing, enhancing, and growing NM's tiger muskie program. NM Muskies Inc recently received approval for a grant totaling $5,400, all this money will go directly towards purchasing minnows for the NMDGF Rock Lake Hatchery to use for live feed in the muskie fingerling ponds. The chapter also installed structures at Bluewater Lake in hopes of giving the fingerlings and larger fish some extra structure which the lake has very little of naturally. The club is working hard to maintain and grow this fishery, if you are curious about muskie fishing or love it as much as the Members do, join NM Muskies Inc today. There are tons of benefits from tackle discounts, to a national MUSKIES magazine every month, and much more. Come to one of the meetings, there is always something fun going on with the club, and here is the website. Tons of great information about the chapter, National MI, and of course our muskie fisheries.

IN OCTOBER I NOT ONLY GOT TO SEE THE BALLOON SHOW, SPEND TIME WITH MY BROTHER AND SISTER IN LAW, BUT ALSO FISH A WONDERFUL LAKE.

HE TOOK ME TO LAKE COCHITI (SP?) IN SANIBLE COUNTY. BECAUSE OF PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS HANDICAPPED ACCESS IS A MUST !! AND THIS LAKE IS SET UP FOR IT, ALL I CAN SAY IS WAY TO GO NEW MEXICO !!!!

I was wondering who has a Red Dodge Dakota in Albuquerque with a Life Member sticker in the back window? Also has a Obama/Biden sticker next to it. Each evening around 5:00 PM you are heading north on Washington St. NE and then you head east on Alameda. Just wondering. I've been behind you a few times.

I'll be here until the 23rd in Albuquerque and was wondering if anyone nearby would be willing to take me out and/or recommend a good guide that's reasonable. Of course I have no gear but will go get a license in a hurry. I could also return the favor if you visit Alaska as long as I have the time off. I typically fish trophy lakers and arctic char not far from Fairbanks. My biggest lake trout is 35 lbs and my best char is 19 1/2 lbs. The common catch is 12 to 22 lbs on lakers and 7 to 12 on char. I also know some good arctic grayling areas.

Sandia Lakes Update

Sandia Lakes is now reopened. New prices: Ages 13 to 60 are $25.00; 12 and under are $12.00; Senior 60 and up $15.00. New limits are 5 fish per day for adults and 3 per day for youth. That really sucks. They sure as H lost my business. Their new number is 505-771-5190.
