Johnson's Pond

Anyone fish Johnson's Pond often? I grew up on the pond, but have not fished it in years. I am wondering how bass fishing is now and if anyone has any good spots they are willing to share. Thanks.
How many Rhode Islanders on this Forum?

I see not to many people post under this topic. I'm looking to see how many of you are in RI and fresh water fish in the state. I know I look around the net to find good info on RI lakes and it is hard to come by. This could be a good outlet to share info with fellow RI members. If anyone knows some good sites to find info on local lakes please let me know. Thanks.
looking for surf fishing

Hello Fellow NAFC Members

I was wondering if anyone could provide me with some info. I have found myself with a few days off during the week next week (May 7-9) and wanted to do some surf fishing. Could anyone recommend a good beach to catch some fish? Species is less important than just having something tug the end of my line after a long winter. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Isky1978@yahoo.com

I will not have my boat with me and I'm interested in fishing around the Jamestown Bridge and Dutch Island for Blue Fish. I have friends with boats but they all fish Point Jude or Block Island (I am a Bay fisherman). Anyone out there got time for a one day trip.

Goldfish compete with native fish for food and habitat.

The Rhode Island regulations don't prevent homeowners from stocking enclosed ponds with goldfish.

bass in small ponds

Originally posted by: angwolfc on 7/3/2006 11:31:51 PM

I'm looking for advice on fishing largemouths on small ponds in New England. Shiners always work(too easy). I've been working the soft plastics(salted and othewise). I know about working structure, and the seasons. Can anyone tell me how to use the softies on small ponds( and I mean small!)? Is there a difference or just experimentation? I do catch 'em, just need advice on the softies. I've tried every technique that I've heard of. Ya wanna help me out please?
P.S. Love this club, God bless ya.
