Catfishing Riverside in Clarksville

I have lived in Clarksville for two years now and I have heard of people catching 30, 50 and even 90 catfish out of the cumberland river near Riverside in Clarksville. I have spent some time trying to fish the area and never caught anything over 10 pounds. Does anyone have any advise on this? Thanks.

I have tried fishing Kentucky Lake a few different times but with no avail. I am looking for someone who knows the lake and is hardcore about fishing and would like to go spend a day and maybe into the night catching some catfish. I will supply the boat and everything as long as you can supply the knowledge. I am willing to learn and I love to catch fish. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks.

I grew up fishing P.Preist and Old Hickory but moved northwest of Nashville when I got married and have been fishing Cheatham Lake recently. Just wondering if any others are familiar with the lake and the fishing there. I don't have a boat so I fish from the bank and was wondering if anyone might have some useful info.

I've gotten a transfer and I will be moving to the Knoxville area sometime in April or May. Not sure where yet, but somewhere in the general vicinity. I'm going to be in desperate for some fishing buddies down there. I'm going to be completely new to the area so any pier or bank locations you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Looking for a place to get a week of fishing vacation for myself and a few friends. I was flying into Atlanta Ga.from Ohio this pass week. Saw this lake from the air. Looked it up on Goggle. Can anyone tell me anything about this lake. Like how is the fishing. Bass, walleye, trout or any kind of fishing? Is there any pike there? Depth of the lake? Best time of the year to fish it? Any kind of info?

Does anyone have any tips on species, locations, patterns, lures, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Especially the Obey River and headwater area. I've only been to Dale Hollow once, and it was for a houseboat bachelor party in late may. Still managed to catch a lot of nice bluegill and a bass or crappie here and there.

Primarily I'd like to know what to expect for the fish's behavior at that time of year. Which species will be spawning or pre-spawn at that time. I don't care if it's 'eyes, crappie, smallies or whatever just as long as I can good on a good bite somewhere.

well i took a trip to visit family and some friend and stop by the lake , damn area park the truck and got my pole and walk down to the lake . i put on 4 inch pumkinseed power worm and casted about 20ft or so and the current let it drift about 30yrds or so and bang got a bite , nice 2lb bass , threw him back and tried that again , bang a 4 lbs jack fish. thought everything was cool. fished about two hours and had a blast.
