Where is a Good place to Fish and Camp

I am in the USCG just moved to the D.C. area a few months back and am looking for a good place to take my 8 year old son Camping/Fishing. I want to be able to walk out of my tent and drop a fishing line in the water in seconds. So the place needs to have camping right next to the water, I preffer freshwater fishing.

Hey all! Hows it going down there? OGA nice fish. My friend was fishing just past Fletcher's and caught a 37 lb. Blue Cat with a bluegill stuck to a # 3 hook. I was born in D.C. and lived across from the Washington Hilton at 2000 Conn. Ave. a few years back. I will be checking in on my old stomping grounds from time to time.Keep on casting folks.

(it don't matter if the horse is blind.Just load the cart anyway!...
Snakeheads......

Hey all.....just had an idea......i'm not sure exactly how widespread
the northern snakhead is throughout virginia.........but whay if we wll
had a snakehead tournament?? we wouldn't have to get together, just
fish for them in you area if they are there......or if not go find
them.........weigh it, measure it, and take a picture........this would
not be a catch and release tournament..... the vdgif wants them removed
from our waters........and from what i'm told they are pretty tasty
anyway.......let me know what you think....talk to you later
SGT Christopher Johnson
