Non-early bird registration begins on February 1st; however, we are currently allowing teams to submit their entries and we will hold and process them once registration opens. We have many great bodies of water to fish in 2008 and we hope you will be able to join us at one of them. The first one of the year is a great one if love river fishing. Annually, the MWC hosts its first tournament on the Illinois River in Spring Valley, IL. It is known as the sauger capital of the world and the tournament notoriously fills each year with hundreds of excited anglers starting their tournament season. Teams registered for a complete division, either Central or East, make up an early bird team. The advantages of being an early bird team are: guaranteed entry into the tournaments you want to fish, photo publication and listing of sponsors and accomplishments in the MWC Early Bird directory booklet, installment billing, and lower boat numbers. MWC registration begins Thursday, January 3rd at 8am. The online registration system will be open at that time – or anglers can fax entries to 952 988 7250 or mail to MWC Entries, 12301 Whitewater Drive, Minnetonka, MN 55343. The MWC website (www.masterswalleyecircuit.com/bulletin_board.asp) will indicate the teams that are “in” and the registrations that are being held pending February 1st.The early bird registration window closes at Midnight on Monday, January 21st. Registration will re-open for non-early bird entries on Friday, February 1st. If more entries are received by midnight on February 1st than there is room (for any particular tournament) a lottery will be held on February 2nd for all the entries available on the 1st. (Cut-off is Midnight.)For example, if there are 140 early bird teams for the Central division and 220 is the maximum we can take, that leaves 80 spots. If more than 80 entries are received …say 100 for Spring Valley for example….then on February 2nd we put the 100 entries into a lottery and pull them in order 1 through 100. The first 80 are guaranteed in and the rest go to a waiting list in the order they are selected. 81st would be 1st on the waiting list, 82nd would be 2nd on the waiting list, etc. If you have questions on registering for the 2008 season please call our event department at 877-893-7947 ext 4 and talk to Talia Carpenter, events coordinator.
