Welcome cclonch a year ago  cclonchwell just got home from the yadkin here in wilkes and they are bitting hard with a few landings...nothing important though..but does it matter if they are all big name fish species, fishing is fishing aslong as you have a good time...

 | Western North Carolina Fishing Group The hubby went fishing yesterday, it finally stopped raining, I didnt go this time. He took the jonboat out to Lake James, He caught a few, Some bream, a largemouth and something else that got tangled in some under water trees and broke the line, He said it was something big. He was using a pop-ar and a white curl tail jig. Ill be going next time so I can try some topwater stuff.

 | FishingGoddess I was gonna go to Lake James today, But the weather has stopped me. Seems like the fishing in the Rocky Broad River has about come to an end, with exception to some trout fishing higher up around Chimney Rock. I may try that next week, Maybe Green River. Anyone else fish these areas?
