  • JoeBills I have been a life member of North American Fisherman since 1991, live in Kelso, Wa. and live to fish for crappie, blue gill, bass, catfish. I mainly fish Silver Lake on Spirit Lake Hwy. love to camp at Silver Lake Resort, great people and very knowledgeable on what part of the lake to catch what you are fishing for and what to use. Best part it is close to my home.

    • richard wickbergI used to fish bass on Lake WA. We'd troll the shoreline with docks and cast around them. Bass also school - hook one and you've found a school. Fish the east side of the lake in the AM and the west side in the evenings. Don't forget to look for pickeral weeds and trees hanging over yhe water providing shade to fish enjoying shade under the trees, docks, boats to your advantage.

  • November 25

  • Washington State Game Fish Howdy All. Hope your Thanksgiving was great filled with family, and AWESOME food. It's November 25th, and the Cowlitz river is still kicking out some real nice Steelhead and winter Silvers. however, there are still a number of late fall run Chinook that Refuse to die. You will do good to bring your patience and plenty of eggs if you want those silvers!!! The river is in great shape, and low as the fish hatchery does not want to mess up the huge runs that they are having. Not a lot of fishermen during the week, however by Thursday and into Sunday, bring your understanding, there are sometimes 80 or better fishermen working for their catch. Good luck and "knock-'em dead".

  • Washington State Game Fish The Cowlitz River runs East to West through Lewis County and flows into the Columbia River, thru the Toutle River. Right now, October 26, 2011 There are still some spawned out summer run Chinook Salmon, as well as the begining of a record run of Silver Salmon (Fall Run), and the very start of Steelhead. Share with me and others where you fish for these Salmon and if you have had any luck within the past month. Send me photos if you have them, we would all like to see them
