    • jjones84For the past decade I have only gone fishing once or twice a year on a salmon trip, untill this year. I had an anglers awaking, I discovered trout fishing in rivers and streams, ice fishing, kayak fishing, plenty of bass fishing, and much more. I hope that more people open them selves up to the many options that the sport of fishing offers us.

    • chuckmcJust recently joined the club. My grandfather has been a member for years, he suggested joining. I have been fishing since i was a kid all over Michigan and Canada. Bass are always fun to catch but i love going on week long fishing trips and eating walleye and pike for dinner every night. I just got my own boat (14ft Lund) so now i can take my 4 kids fishing with me. Last night we all went fishing and my 7 year old daughter out fished the 3 boys. Her smile was from ear to ear when she reeled in a 28in pike. I think she is hooked now. Im planning a spring trip to the U.P. if anybody knows of a good walleye lake on the western side, preferably in the Ottawa national forest area. Thanks. Keep Cranking.

    • jjones84Try going to Portage Lake in Onekama, world class walleye fishing and some pretty good bass too, If your not careful you may even catch a king or a lake trout.

  • gmcintosh82 Hey all, I am new to the club. I live near Cassopolis in South West MI. its about 10mi from the IN state line. Just got back into fishing this year. I have had some good luck with the bass in a lake that is over looked. I am open to new ideas and suggestions. I really want to start walleye fishing. I never have gone but after eating one that my buddy got from the UP I gotta get some. Prob is I have no idea where they are around me. If anyone has some tips or can suggest some lakes around me that would be greatly appreciated.
