 | Hudson River Striped Bass The season is approaching fast and with the mild winter that we have had I feel like the fish may start running early this year. Regardless fishing on the river should be great this year, the water should be cleaner without all the run off from the snow melt. Get your boats and poles ready the stripers will be here soon!!!

 | pikebasshole Hello vinniec28 I have been eager to start striper fishing am planing on my first outing after iceout is this a good time,I live about 20 mins from the Hudson at troy do they make it that far upriver. I fish a lot on the mohawk river for bronzebacks,eyes,pike and tigers herring make it to my area do the stripers Chase them I am anxious to talk stripers
a year ago | |  vinniec28The run usually starts late march early april, every year is a little different depending on the weather. They do go all the way up to you and in my opinion the best month for catching them is May, thats when it always seems to be the hottest. Are you planning to shore fish or from a boat?
