 | Curly OK, April 1st is just around the corner. Are all you Mainers Ready? I know I am. Didn't get to do any Ice Fishing this year, so I will make up for lost time during the open season. Maybe I'll see some of you out there. Watch for future post as I am getting the Boat ready also. I'll be going out on the Ocean to drop my 5 lobster traps then do some Striper Bass Fishing, as well as Haddock & Cod. Might be looking for 1 or 2 Fishing Buddies to join me. Welcome Archie_B1 about 10 months ago  Archie_B1I fish Waldo County Area fishing around this area is touch & go. I know of several locations Ive fished finding beautiful bass fishing within the past 10yrs that have either been little or no action..... Any tips or locations I might not have tried yet. Also haven't found any good trout fishing areas in this area or if there is I'm doing something wrong lol
 mainiac1Hey Archie, I also fish waldo quite a bit. For trout I seem to have good luck on Lake st. George, Half moon Pond, Swan Lake, Quantabacook and many of the steams around. I've had really good luck ice fishing recently. I find myself going slightly north and crappie fishing alot lately, especially through the ice. I'm hooked. Unity and Hermon pond.

 | proberts11 Hello to all.. Just a little info on me, I usually fish the Thompson Lake area at least I know I can always land a decent bass or two... If anyone knows where I can find some good brook trout fishing near Mechanic Falls or the Lew/Aub area let me know.

Welcome pmackley a year ago  pmackleyif any one in this group could help with advice on how to nail a monster brookie it would be appriciated i fish around the unity pond area the pond its self and all the surrounding brooks and streams have got a few this year but not one thats a trophy any help would be great
