  • rlinstruth Hi guy's, hit the CT River on Sat. Water temp. still cool, about 62, the bass are starting to move. Launched at 6:30 by 10:30 had 5 totaling 15.7. Two on the shore line and the three moving just off the drop. Nothing on hard baits all on soft.

  • Leek13 Hey I just moved out here and am looking for any good lakes near west hartford. Do any of you guys know any that is fishable for bass. I know lakes like Candlewood and the bigger lakes that are more south to south west Connecticut but am unaware of lakes near Hartford. Thanks for any help.

  • rlinstruth Do you know if Modus Res. is launchable? I tried last year and the water was so low I could'nt launch the boat. It's a great place to fish in the spring. I caught a 10.4 and a 12.2 large mouth there. The 10.4 was a good fight, but the 12.2 was like pulling in a sack of weeds.

  • rlinstruth I fish the CT River four times a week. In my opinon the CT River is one of hardest rivers to fish because of the lack of cover, current, and being tidel. I also like fishing the Hudson River, upper and lower.
