 | zmiller4 question i read a tip in a book i got from the club about putting small pieces of alka-seltzer plus in bass tubes to make bubbles to attract bass has anyone tried it? is it worth trying?
about 2 years ago | |  dpeterson84I have not tried it. However a good trick is to pull of a very small chunk of sponge and shove it into the end of a tube bait and then soak it with attractant. I am not sure but it might bubble a little bit... not like an alka-seltzer. There is a crawfish bait out there that has built in air pockets in the pincers that bubbles. just some ideas.

 | Dennis1022 Yes I use to long time ago! When I lived in South Jersey, Gloucester County but fished Salem County,Cumberlin, Camden,Atlantic, Ocean, CapeMay, Burlington. I believe my favorite was Burlington because of the Pine Barrins, Batso State Forest, Lower Branch & Upper Branch Green River. and all the bogs and streams that went through this area. It felt like your back in the prehistoric stone age slow moving water tea stain cedar water. then Camden & Gloucester counties then go down to Salem and CapeMay counties you have all those flats and salt flats and small lakes wit fallen timber with stumps. Just great fishing all over these area's.

 | jvsabadish Hi, my name is Joe and I live in Pulaski NY. Small mouth fishing is good here. Fished richland Resivor two weeks age alot of small bass nothing to brag about. Fishing for salmon now. Variety of fish is great up here.

about 2 years ago | |  wharris4Hi Joe : Welcome to the group ! I see you are from Pulaski NY, myself I am currently living in Waverly NY. Were you spared by the flooding , the last couple of weeks ? The area where myself, my girlfriend, and her son, live was lucky, not far from here say about a 20 min. drive, in Barton NY, it took a pretty good hit. My friend Gary, Elaine's ex was ever so lucky, you see he lives on the Old Barton Road , and the Susquehanna River runs down in his back dooryard, well during the flooding, the River was his back yard.He is going to get assistance from FEMA to cover his furnace and water heater, but it could have been much worse.
