 My partner took me fishing the first time on Clearlake in Northern California. Dumb luck led me to catch a 10lb catfish. I've been hooked ever since. Don't know spit about how to do things the "right" way. I catch a fish or two every time we go out, but I wish I knew more.

There must be others out there like me... tell us your first time story and what you've learned since. Also what do you  like to fish for the most and anything else you might like to share.

I personally like crappie the best for eating, perch for the fight the little buggers put up, and bass or catfish for bragging rights.  Actually, I will fish for anything, but will only eat the crappie, perch and bass.
