  • jmendek Anyone have any pointers on how to catch the lake trout in NorCal resevoirs? I'm new to trout fishing and taking a break from bass but not having any luck.

    • KonphuzedAlaskanHey just read your post. I know its a bit late in the year but, if you troll a a blue and silver Kastmaster in Collins lake you should have some luck. Just remember the warmer the water the deeper the fish.

  • ccain5 just got back from clear lake,ca.,a little slow - came back with 3 bass 7.5-6-& 1 that had trouble eating a 4 inch minnow. also came away with 4 nice cats. smallest was 9.8 and the biggest was a nice 16lb-der.should be better in a few weeks.well luck to all.I'm at c.cain45@yahoo.com

  • ccain5 I don't get as far up as shasta but i'm headed up to clear lake,ca. friday night-the bass are bitting--wish me luck.better yet join me I'll be at glenhaven beach or indian beach resorts

    • yukon_jack46I have never tried Clear lake but it is on my list, I mostly fish Shasta and Black Butte and try to get up to Trinity Lake a couple times a year.....
