proberThanks! I'd love to. Right now I'm @ work on my lunch break so I really won't be able to but, I'll check back tonight to see what might be going on. I might be making a trip to the east side next month to fish with Hoss but maybe we can get together too. I'm not sure how I'm going to work it out since my wife reminded me I have an errand to do for her while she's out of town on Saturday the 12th. What kind of schedule do you have?

Should be able to get some time off next month.
Weekends and Mondays are good for me.
Hoss is in the same area so you should be good to go.

I have a friend thats been fishing Moses, nothing yet.
Haven't heard anything from Potholes, Hoss may have better contacts.

proberThat sounds terrific! Does that mean the season is beginning? I don't know enough about them (walleyes) to know. Are they at the end of their spawn so they're moving into deeper water or what?

bassplayer17The spawn is just starting. YellowBear ive heard of a few coming out of moses maybe potholes will turn on too. Im heading to banks this weekend play with some smallmouth.

YellowBearProber, one fish in 5 trips is not a good sign.
The Walleye in Moses have been in decline for sometime.
The fish are indeed at the end of the spawn and should be moving out soon.

proberWell I was able to get out Saturday to a local lake for a couple hours. Everuthing I did to the boat last fall worked great except one thing. When I changed the steering cable, I put the rack & pinion in upside down. No big deal if you don't mind trying to steer left by turning the wheel right and vice versa! It's REALLY interesting when your going 30 MPH! While out I got two rainbow's around 14". I gave them to my buddy- he wasn't fishing that day so he was my pilot. Still looking forward to a trip to the east side- sometime this summer. We'll see when...

YellowBearI got a couple of reports from Potholes this week and there are a few Walleye starting to show up.

Your steering being backwards might make a good anti theft devise, lol.

proberWell that's an encouraging report. I think I saw a report on www.washingtonlakes.com that was similar. I hadn't thought about the deterrent factor of my steering. Maybe I should put it back on backwards! LOL

- bassplayer17It was sloooooooow did i say that sloooooow enough. We found some but not in great numbers.. Water temp was 54-56 in the morning toped out 61 afternoon. Fished barker flats hoping the were on beds.....nope. Maybe in a nother week or two. Thats my story.....

richard wickberg I'm a Disabled Vet from Spokane and have 'authorization' to use the military resort on Clear Lake (Spokane Co.). Are there any other Disabled vets that would like to share costs with me for a boat?

It was getting some nice Largemouth in it the last time I fished it.
Silver was another childhood playground.

YellowBearI know there were Largemouth but not sure about panfish, my guess is that they have found there way in there by now. If there are some Crappie or Perch I would bet they are small ones.
I will do some checking with friends and see what I can find out.

- jchoinierei need some help. i have a bass tournament on lake washington on april 29th. but i've never fished it. so does anybody have some spots they could share? im all the way in spokane so i dont ever get to fish it for fun

- richard wickbergFish the docks off either Laurlhurst on both sides o the penninsula, from the swamps south of U-Village, south then opposite the L.W. ship cannel. Also try the docks around Mercer Is. & the docks by Bothell. Hope that helps.

- jchoiniereits actually in april. but i went to liberty lake yesterday with two of my buddies and we caught 6 trout including a 3lb rainbow.

bugsmasher49 anyone out there hopefully in central washington, got any electrical knowledge on boat motors? got a tach issue on a v-max

HossinonimusI'm no expert but I know a couple things. What kind of tach issues are you having

bugsmasher49wildly fluxuating during operation. it will shoe an idle rpm of say 4000rpm or a running speed of 8000rpm sometimes running wide open will show 700rpm. there is no change in motor pitch so I am not too concerned but would prefer the tach operated correctly. have heard this could be in the regulator ? I will tear a motor apart to work on it but when it comes to elect. issues I run screaming.

HossinonimusIf its a new problem that has just developed it may be a bad connection, loose wire, corrosion, etc. or it may be a bad tach. I'd check your lead all the way back to motor. If everything is tight w/o corrosion or damage it may be the tach itself. I have replaced 2 on 2 different boats in the last 5 yrs

tniles does the Washington fishing license include the discover pass or do you have to buy them separate

HossinonimusYour vehicle use permit from last year is still good until March 31. After that if you use Wa State Parks or Dept of Nat Resources land, you need to also purchase the Discover Pass. Your vehicle use permit issued with a big game, small game, freshwater, saltwater or combination license will allow you to us WDFW lands only after 03-31-12

richard wickbergAny Disabled Veterans can get a lifetime transferrable pass with their "VA determination of disability" and reduced fishing licencing fees. I believe one has to have > 30% didability.

YellowBear Fished Soda yesterday and no bites. Water is below normal levels. Nice sunny day in the low 50s. Water temp, cold. Tryed for Trout, Perch and Walleye. Worms, Jigs and spoons.

- bugsmasher49yea we are still kicking! haven't been on here for quite some time. am going to try and check in on a regular basis from now on. been getting out fishing still on a regular basis. thankfully the ranger doesnt use alot of fuel! am going to be looking hard for some big tigers and northerns this year. hope to even get to potholes and soda! miss fishing soda.

- bugsmasher49how cheep? been after a tiger for the wife as she wants to tangle with one so bad. Thought it be nice to let her go after a few gators as well. Thought about a trip to CDA but long lake has em as well as pend o ray. hoping to get to potholes and soda this summer. havent made it past moses for a few years.

- YellowBearI think your best shot at a good Tiger would be Silver in Spokane county.
  I have some friends that fish it and allways seem to stick more than they want while fishing for the Bass.
  Now for the Pike, I would head for Usk on the Pend Orellie. Launch at the bridge and head up river.
  Fish the weed beds on the right hand side of the river.
  There are also a couple of sloughs that you can get back into.
  If you go down river you will need to know where the Reservation lands are.
  If you fish the west bank and stay out of Callispell creek which is the first slough on the left you will be okay.
  We have been doing well with Mepps Muskie Killers and the big Vibrex spinners.
  White and chartruce have been the best for us.
  
  Another option, I would be happy to split the cost of fuel.

- YellowBearIf you want to get in on the Pike in the Pend Orellie you had better do it soon.
  They had a meeting in Spokane this past week and the WDFW did there ole song and dance.
  They have decided to eradicate the Pike as best they can using there nets and promoting catch and kill tornaments.
  The WDFW wants to kill off 80% of the population.
  They had another meeting in Usk but I have not heard from anyone that was there yet.

  No boat rentel, bank access is available but hard to find if you are new to the area.
  Head for the town of Usk and ask the folks at the store.

	Washington Fishing 8 Washington Representitives have introduced HB 2241 to ban the sale of lead fishing products less than 1 oz or 1 inch at its shortest axis. Any thoughts? a year ago
