Walked down to the dock last night to turn on the bulge pump and drain the water since it rained all day.Just for the heck of it I took one of my ultra light's with a popper.First cast I caught a small bass about a pound and a half,Second cast I caught one about three pounds and the third cast I caught one about six pounds.I made about ten more cast's with no luck before it started to rain again and I had to run for cover. 9/5/2012 8:42:17 PM

so me and my dad have a friendly wager every weekend to see who'll catch the most pounds of large and small mouth bass. since we extended the weekend because of labor day we had a extra day of fishing. so on the last day of our little tournment, i have a 3.14 pound lead on him. matter of fact he had'nt caught anything at all, all weekend. Then monday comes and we head out to floyds fork creek and have a terrible day of bass fishing. we didnt catch anything but a 3 pound carp, which we dont count as a "real" fish, so we head up to the private pond we fish and again, we dont catch any fish, well that was til the end of the day when i hear my dad holler out, "there he is"!! i turned around in my bout to see what hes got, and he's being drug around the pond by this thing. i figured it was catfish or something that didnt count. i head over to give him a hand and he reach's in the water and pulls out a 6.10 pound large mouth 9/4/2012 1:03:55 PM

Shortly after dinner, we took off and headed to the lake. The weather was perfect, 78 degrees, sunny, light breeze. Using only a plastic worm, my daughter proceeds to catch 2 bass in a row, photos in the album. Meanwhile, i'm seating there running crank baits, spinners, and jigs, only to catch nothing, lol. Thinking that my daughter may become my local tournament partner this year, due to the fact that both times we've been, she has out fished me. But what really counts, is not the fact we caught the bass, it was about having that time together, doing something we both enjoy. The catch was a bonus to the day and did not leave us skunked.
