Well so far this year I have logged about 300 hours in at the rivers and all I have to show for it is 2 snapping turtles, I huge carp and a decent bullhead. I am using the same tactics, bait and lures as I always have and by this time last year I had over 20 bass, and 30 channel cats. 7/6/2012 4:31:28 PM

Finally had some decent weather for the week. I went out in the boat a few times, but actually found better action right at the dock. Thursday was a phenominal day. The water temp reached the low 60's and there appeared to be a migration of fish to the shallows by my dock. I caught 5 different species (Largemouth, rock bass, yellow perch, crappie, and pumpkinseed sunfish) in about 45 minutes. Some of the sunfish and crappie were decent size. All hit the plastic minnow and bobbber rig. Saturday, the wind broke, so I got the flyrod out and caught a bunch more. Now it's raining and cold again and forcast is for substantial rain every day through Friday. Good luck. Norm 5/16/2011 1:16:55 AM
