Saw that one coming! I was going through my collection of things from NAFC and a few other similar things I belong to and sure enough, bold letters "Made in China!" All of us could make a better effort to purchase items "Made in USA". From most of my reading they pay higher dollars in China & Japan for those Made in USA products. Whoops have you looked on the lure packages that go into your tackle boxes? Many of them read: Made or Assembled in Mexico or Costa Rica! Or what about those great rods and reels we enjoy or are waiting on? Most of those say: Made in Japan! The last time I checked and I am not sure Quantom and Zebco were Made in USA! There is one new spinning reel out that I think is Made in USA. Probably Northwest Bass could tell us about these things. He's very knowledgeable on manufacturing of rods, reels, and lures! How about the rest of you let's hear your ideas? Uncle Tom Think I will rest the keyboard a while and drink a cup of decaf with that Good Morning Group. Hello out there in Cyber Space!

| I built my own lure company as a young man--thus the name UncleTomsJigs. It grew so well I decided to give it up and go fishing with family, friends and especially grand children. I became disabled as a United Methodist Pastor IN 2002 and retired here in Coastal Georgia on a 10 acre lake where I continue to fish despite my disabilities. My wonderful wife and I enjoy fishing together. God has blessed us in so many ways and we pray the same for you. I am excited about having so many new friends all over this great country. |

I can understand companies sending their work overseas(do not neccesarily agree) But American legacy "made in china" has gone too far. Brian |

Sad, but given our appetite for crappy products at wal-mart prices this kind of junk just might be America's legacy. Unfortunately the problem is not shoddy merchandise manufactured overseas but about our unwillingness to pay for real craftsmanship. |

I have to agree. The folks that cry the loudest about 'Made in China' are the same folks that won't spend the money for quality. I had a woman walk up to me yesterday asking if I would look at a reel she bought for her kids to fish with. Zebco 33. I remember when a 33 was a decent reel that was usually an upgrade from the 202 that you started with. It was made of METAL! The one I saw yesterday was such a turd I am suprised that Zebco even put there name on it. Zebco built a reputation by selling reliable, affordable tackle. What I saw yesterday was anything but reliable. I try to keep some inexpensive loaner rods around for the use of nieghborhood kids and such but it is tough finding affordable tackle that has even a bit of reliability. Tom |

I'm putting the 2-blade fish knife to the test. I hope it doesn't get rusty. I wasn't too happy about It being made in China but its a nice looking knife. I would love too see NAFC sell American made Products. I would be more than glad to pay the extra bucks regardless the cost. |

Two more knives and I will have the complete set. Yes I know where they are made from but I also know it helps support the NAFC. Some of the free items in your membership package came from outside the U.S.A. How many of you sent them back to the club and told them no thanks? Yes it would be nice if they offered more items from the U.S.A. even at a higher or lower price and I would still buy them to support the club. |

it looks like this club would learn- the knives may be decent but when you put the name(AMERICA`S LEAGACY) on it they should not be made in some country that is trying to bury us- please look to our own country |

They are junk and don't compare to quality cutlery. No matter where they are made. |

I just received my first knife and I'm impressed with the sharpness of the blade. Haven't put it to the test, yet, but I will. I'll let you know how it goes. And yes, I too would appreciate American made, more. |

OK, just received the box with the "Free Gift" and of course I'm assuming it's the first knife in the collection. I have no desire to collect knives but an extra "free" knife wouldn't be bad to have backpacking or hunting. However, is this knife truly free? I haven't even opened the box yet and wondering if once I open the box if I have to send some payment in for something I do not need. Please help. |

The "free gift" is a fishing towel...and the first knife is $19.99...then they double in price. There should be a prepaid return label in there...but if there isn't...you can print prepaid return labels for anything they send you from your account page.

Hi, I have been a member for over 20 years and I received the legacy knife and towell. i saw where it was made and Tried to give it to my brother-in-law and he told me to throw it in the trash because he did not want it eather. I was really embarraced about that one. It is sad to think of AMERICAN herratige China. If the rest of the country had any testicals they would go AMERICAN forever, and our kids and grand kids might have jobs and not busting rocks at Fulsom prison!!! How about some knives made in good old USA ? Thank you, if you got the guts to print this!! PS. I will check....................Billy C. |

I've been a member for over 25 years, a Life Member for 23 years, and a Trophy Member for a spell. I quit ordering anything from the club, probably 15--18 years ago. Unfortinantly, this last Jan., the club sent me a flyer for "Cooking Pleasure, Santoku Knife set". I'd plumb forgot why I had quit buying from the club, and I allways like to have good kitchen knives. I really screwed up! I ordered thier Ultimate Chiefs Knife. Nice knife, BUT. In early March, I got a notice of payment due, here on the Web. I responded, telling them I had not recieved my order. On 03/20/13, I recieved a bill in the mail. I responded, "I will not pay for a pig in the poke, and I have not recieved my order!" I finally recieved the knife on 04/10/13. I immediatly sent them the payment on the same date! Today I get a bill tellin' me that I owe them a late charge. Now I remember why I quit buying anything thru the club, 15--18 years ago.. Shall not make the same mistake twice!

Like so many other members...I have long since stopped responding to posts like this...it just seemed futile...but this time I have to vent. What a crock of poop! Allen, I sure hope you haven't paid that late charge. A 25 year member...they should send you a FREE knife...just for putting up with this horrible service that long! You'll read it time and time again in these forums, how guys say that the only good thing around here is the friends they've made. The longer I'm here...the more I see what they mean. I've seen so many guys come in here...pumped about being in the club...and then within a few months just disappear in disgust. It really is a shame. |

No mo65, they wont get the late charges. I'm sure that after the scathing letter I sent them, once again, I will get a letter of apology! And yes, I have gotten quite a few free gifts, some good, some just alright, some-------! However, I do have a envious question for ya mo65, with all the screw ups that the club has had on this web, how did you manage to retain your user name, to be able to have that many posts?? I've only had a 'puter for about 10 years, and I'm on my 3rd user name, and at least that many on thier NAHC site! Allen

Yup Allen it's a shame how they don't track their own order/shipping system. Fully understand as to why folks come and go and those iof us who stay refuse to order from them!

I've had a few issues ordering stuff over the years. But mostly have been fairly satisfied. Mo's got so many posts 'cause he talks a lot, has no life, and spends endless hours on this site. I've managed to keep my user name (don't remember how) but lost post counts over 1000 a couple different times. I don't worry about it any longer, comment when a topic moves me, and enjoy the company most of the time. We've had angry people, pitiful people, and a bunch of good old boys. Many have left and come back from time to time, many have just gone away. I refuse. JustDave |
