Hello Fishies, (just kidding) Really though my name is Scott and I'm a little confused. What happened was I joined in Sept. this year, paid with my debt card, $ 12.00 and that was, I thought for my 1 yr. dues. Then in mid Oct. I recived my new member package. Everything was cool, I was stoked. Thanks for the hooks I used them that weekend. This is where I start to wonder, HUH ????? About the end of the first week of Nov. I get a letter from you stating that for some reason my card could not processed. Well what happened ? When I signed up I got a conformation that my transaction had been processed. Then last week you sent me a box with some trout fishing books and I think there is a field test opp. for some triline line. Cool but on the box was an envelope with some letters inside with a dues invoice and some offers. However I'm affraid to open the box because, " The Boss " aka my wife wont let me buy the books for lack of funds. Wait theres more !!! Then today Tues. befor Thanksgiving I get another envelope with a life membership patch, more hooks, keychain and more offers. So now I'm staring at this box for a week, die'n' to open it ( cuz I know its full of goodness ) can't open it cuz, " The Boss", got all this cool stuff and dont even know if I'm a member or what I can or can't keep or what happen to my 12 bucks if I'm not a member???????????? To make it worse the next offer is a new filet knife that I really really need because mines junk. Whats goin on here? Also there was a 12 dollar rebate cert. in the envelope that needs to be used by the 29th of this month. Can I use the rebate for a life membership because I like all the stuff that comes with that too. Please help.
Thanks, Scott The Fishslayer |

I think you might have accidentally signed up for life membership by mistake. Just call customer service and talk it over with them. |

Bro, Everything that you got, the keychain, hooks, membership patch, field test offer, and sick ass knife offer is what I just received when I paid my $12.00 yearly subscription dues. As for the box, open it brother and find out what it is, then contact the customer service and inquire as to what is going on. Back in the days the club used to send me all sorts of freebies and nice stuff too, but you don't want to bounce any checks or deplete your funds, especially if the (Boss) is questioning it. I have been there and done that and believe you me, she, the Boss, is the last person you want to cross. I am definitely able to do alot more things now that I fired my Boss and now run things on my own, but sometimes the Boss, and I hate saying this, but really have to admit, is right. I hope all works out for you on the subscription. Hopefully you got a sick ass free gift. Tell the Boss I said hello and I wish you and you a Happy Thanksgiving. Aloha and Mahalo from Oahu, Hawaii. |

Thanks, Scott The Fishslayer Scott, Don't worry about the Life Member stuff. I got the same package and the letter said if you don't want to take advantage of the Life Membership, just dispose of the items (There is a cost saving method!? The club may want to reconsider that practice!). The fishing line is probably just a club freebee, and the filet knife is may be a test item, but that means it's also free. You should have received a reply card to fill out. The $12 rebate is only for the Life Membership offer. |

OK just went through the same thing. The life time membership is if you want to do it otherwise just let it laps. The book is yours to review for two weeks I think then if you do not return it they will invoice you. If you buy it they will send you the next book, the knife and if you return that book you will not get any more but can keep the knife. I ended with sending back the second book but basically by getting the first book you sign up to receive 6 books in the series each with a free gift, but once you send a book back your done. The first book was pretty good if you are a bass fisher and the price was not bad. The second book did nothing for me and I found it was not worth the $30+ dollars (if I remember correctly). If the boss does not want you spending money then I suggest you send the book back and opt out of the series.

If you use the $12 rebate, you WILL BE BILLED almost $300 for life membership. Product tests are rare, at best. "FREE" products are almost never test products. If you do not return the product, you will get an invoice. |
