So I was leaving to go to work today and when I opened the garage door there was a nice little box from NAFC. I was excited as I always am when I get something from them lol. I throw the box in the truck and off to work I go. After I get to work and get settled I figured I would open it and see what present I got this time was, last product I tested was some e-z hooks that were kinda iffy as to if they stay on the line or not since they didnt tie they just wrap but for small fish like blue gill or perch it would probably be a good easy hook to use. Back to the story lol, I am reading the paper that was in the envelope on the front and it is telling me about the PROFLEX ANGLER Fillet Knife that is "in the box" for me to test. I am happy about that because I need a new fillet knife anyway. I open the box and guess what......its empty hahahahhaha. I guess they forgot to pack the knife. I got the letter and the card to mail in my review of it if I didnt do them online but no knife. Its all good tho, I am not complaining at all, I called NAFC and they said they were extremely sorry and would put me on an expidited list to receive another item. I just thought it was funny that they shipped me an empty box lol |

Don't jump to conclusions that the club sent you an empty box. The same thing was happening to me and I notified the higher ups at the post office. It turned out to be an employee of theirs. I still wonder why N.A.F.C. puts Free Gift Inside on their Packages because it's just a attraction to the dishonest postal worker. Oh and mine was happening when I was receiving the N.A.F.C. library book club. |

I agree with Eagle Eye...I live in New York City...Don't know my Postman...there's always someone different delivering the mail...I subscribe to many fishing magazines, and they come late, look like they been read...sometimes I miss a month. I've had stuff sent from the club, the packages ripped open, all because the NAFC seems to have the need to print right on every package FREE GIFT INSIDE!!! NAFC doesn't have to print "FREE GIFT INSIDE". Inside every package there's an invoice which explains what your getting. I guess they feel the need to advertise...get people curious as to what is inside...like the dishonest postman. |

I actually used to work for the post office. Let me tell you, if someone wants to steal your mail, they will steal it! Clerks and mail carriers are left alone with valuable letters and parcels for extended periods of time. And if some packages do not have a deliverable address, they are thrown in the dumpster! That's right, the dumpster! One of my jobs was to sift through the undeliverable mail as I was tossing it into the dumpster and see if there was something in there by mistake. Many times I would come across packages that had "something good" inside. I never opened them (although I could have) but more than one of them I came across was already partially opened and one I remembered contained a commemorative railroad antique plate. Into the dumpster! Another, a world clock digital organizer. Into the dumpster! Another, a NRA collector's knife. Into the dumpster! An so on and so forth. The mail carriers had opened and peeked inside before they had gotten to me. I could tell. There are other gems that I saw that I will not talk about, but needles to say, be wary of what you ship! I WOULD say for the most part the postal service is pretty legitimate and very safe. But it only takes a few. |

How ironic. You needed a knife to open a package that contained a knife! |

I just received my test product today(Eagle Claw BioLine). I got the email that I would be receiiving a product and thought...hey, spring is almost here and I could use some new fisihing line. I emptied out my reel of old line and proceeded to re-spool with the new line. I followed the instructions to eliminate the line twists. Finally the spool was full. I added a small jig and opened the bail to make a very short cast in the kitchen. The jig hit the floor and the line just continued to spring off of the reel. I had to remove the line completely and throw it out. I didn't even get it out into the field yet. I'll try refilling it one more time but my own way. |

Are you sure that when you were re-spooling your line you did it correctly? Made sure it was reeled on tight? Many times it is because of fisherman error that these things happen. Maybe you got some bad line too. I can't say. Im sorry you were not happy with your product. Why were you trying to cast in the kitchen?...Not much room. You also said: "Finally the spool was full." You do know not to fill the spool up all the way right? Your line should be close to the end of the spool but not right up to the edge. If it is, your line will indeed come right off the spool. There is my two cents... |

I know when a spool is full. (Not FULL). I never said I was not happy with it. Just suprised it sprung off the reel like it did. I've never seen anything like that. |

You never said you weren't happy with it? You said you had to "throw it out." The line might have had too much "memory." Meaning it basically kept it's shape right of the spool it came from. I hope you have better luck if you indeed were able to salvage it and re-spool it. Let us know how it goes! |
