Editors, I have fished in alot of different areas and over the years have been very succesful in choosing guides, but there is alot more to it than you put in the article. It is not that I think the article was bad, it is just that I feel it could have been done with much more detail. I always choose the area and species first. This is done by internet fishing reports mainly. I search for the guides, lodges, bait shops and State web sites. This will aide you in making your species and area choices. I also have to have a budget to plan the trip. I don't have an ecess of money so alot of my choices are based upon lodging cost. Camping is a great way to do this. Then I seach for a guide. I will try and book the first day and then rely on what I learned from the guide the rest of the trip. Most of the time if you struggle you can call the guide and they will assist you. On rare accasions you can help them fined fish too. I also could go into great detail on this subject but I felt that your article was incomplete and unfortunatly due to time so is this relponse. Keep up the great work and thanks for the article about the meets it was much needed for us.
