I was extremly pleased with the article titled: "A Steelhead For Mushygirl", page 34 & 35. Dave Larson did a mighty fine job! I know that Cheri truly emjoyed the trip as much as those that worked to make it happen for her. I am proud to call her friend and I have enjoyed fishing with her on the Mississippi! But what really pleases me is that this story is in the mag for all to enjoy. My hat is off to the editors for this and I hope there will be a continued effort to publish stories such as this. Many amaizing things go on in the life of the Bulletin Board, and it is nice to see that fellow members, that do not have access to the web site, get an opportunity to experience the fun! Thanks guys - yes, of all the things that I have gotten from the club - the friendships I have made are the most important to me. The story was a great reminder of a great trip.

It was good to see the article about MG. I know that not all of the members check out the BB. This story about MG lets everyone see that there's a great group of people in this club. |

I just got my issue so I was finally able to read the story. MG is a close personal friend of mine, and yes, she does have a heart of gold. But it's not only her heart, but also the hearts of the many other club members that this story is about. That's why I'm proud to be a life member. What a great group of people. It is certainly a good thing to go to one or more of the member meets. There are many more great stories of members that you will probably not hear about, but these people certainly are in the right place in life. Thanks to Just Dave for all he has done and for writing this story. This issue is tops throughout. There are a number of really good articles within it. Be Fishers of People.

I just have a quick "Stringer Story". I was fishing in a small pond, catching some of the largest bluegill I have seen in a long time. After catching the first one and putting it on a rope style stringer I pushed the metal spike end into the dirt to hold him until my next catch. Not long after, I caught another large 'gill, and had taken it off the hook when I noticed my stringer making a dash for open water!! With a fish in one hand, I threw my pole down and dove in after the stringer!! I caught the rope, still had the unstrung fish in my other hand, and had my wife and father-in-law belly laughing for about an hour. Don't know how I managed it, but when I came up soaking wet from the schest down, I still had my sunglasses and cowboy hat on my head unscathed. Just another fishing story that I'll be able to tell my kids over and over some day. |

I thought it was a very good issue, I had already seen the posts of Muskygirls trip west, the story just filled it out. The only problem I had with the magazine is the black print on the dark background in the night fishing for Muskies piece, I find that sort of thing very hard to read, otherwise, good magazine. |

Got my issue this last Monday. Great pleasure to read the story about JustDave and Muskygirl. Goes to show and speak highly of the good still left in the human race. Proud to be part of NAFC and the display of kindness and selfless service to others by its members. TSS "The Salmon Slayer" |
