my wife and i went trout fishing and i was catching the heck out of them we were using worms that i had dug from the garden well the next day we went back to the same spot but this time we had stopped and bought some worms from a guy that had dug them from a rabbit dropping compost pile well we could not catch a thing not even a bite is there such a thing as bad worms the worms seamed life less after a half hour of just sitting in the container

Some of the best worms I've ever used came from a manure/compost heap, so I don't believe that because yours were dug from rabbit droppings would make a difference. I think it had more to do with their condition. You described them as lifeless. Perhaps they were diseased or temperature shocked. I suggest that this is the reason you didn't get any action.

Good call, Bulltrout. Well water from an outdoor tap is another option.
