Had a question regarding the fishing books.  I purchased Bass Strategies and have just received Catch Fish Anywhere, Anytime.  I plan on purchasing that one as well.  My question is this:  If I decide not to purchase a volume and send it back, do I still keep receiving future editions?  Or does me not purchasing a volume remove me from the list of recipients for good?  How does it work?
    Thanks,
    Oscar

No, declining one book does not remove you from receiving books (or dvds). I purchased both of those same books, and enjoyed both. There is also a video library of dvds that you will get in your mailbox as well.

If you want to opt out and not receive a book or dvd or change how often you get books and dvds call customer service. Call the 800 customer service number, when you hear the typical menu options "push 1 for x, push 2 for y, para en espanol numero ocho ( ) blah blah blah", at that menu just keep pushing zero (about three times last time I called about a year ago) even though you're never given the option (it's a hidden option) you'll zero out to an operator that can change you're library options for you or cancel if you choose.

I declined my book and dvd library options but they gave me the options if I wanted to change the frequency I received them. You can change how many books and dvds you're sent; one a month, two a month, twice a year, only dvds, only books, however often you want to get one.

I dropped out of the library completely when I got two books and a dvd in a two week time period. I might re-up for one book a month, eventually. It was too much at the time. And it's pretty cool because you get free stuff with the books too. In the three books I've purchased I got two Berkley PowerBait sample packs and a 150yd spool of Triline 8lb XL.

Please keep in mind any stuff you get with books of dvds is not a Member Test Trial product. It's just free stuff. It's like the info-mercials on at night, "Buy this and if you don't like it, return it but keep the flash light as our free gift to you" kind of deal. There's been a lot of confusion before on these message boards about people getting books with a pack of hooks or a spool of line and think it's a test product and asking about the product review sheet to fill out, and it's not. It's just free stuff to keep you interested in the receiving the books and dvds.

Awesome, thanks for the info James. I just didn't want to decline a future volume only to never receive another book again, lol.

I purchased 7 books and 4 dvds before canceling. I have since found the books on Craig's List many times in lots of anywhere from 2 books to the whole library for very reasonable prices. I frequently see 4 books for $20, and once saw the entire library for $100.

Armstrong.j is right...I recently opt out of both the books and dvd's. It just became too much. I was getting 3 books and a dvd a month...my account was like over 250 dollars...If the club would send them in a normal fashion, like 1 a month or 1 every other month, i'd probably be still recieving them, but they didn't, they just bombard you with books and dvd's. Just keep in mind, that they start out one a month and then two a month, then three a month...so be careful.

Try looking for them online or a used book store most of them have been out for years now , some times people sell the sets they have on online auctions or used books stores or how ever.
And in general you can save a lot of money that way . Granted you may not know what is all available or be able to review them but you may be able to pick up a set of books for the price of one or two books . sorry NAFC you had a chance to add them to a online store but were still waiting .
Take a kid fishing , If the fish aint biting entertain them. Photobucket

    Sorry, not Craig's List, I meant E-Bay.

I bought a lot of 4 books for $20 a few months ago and gave 2 away as Christmas gifts ( I already had those two) so i got myself 2 books for the price of one and 2 free Christmas gifts. Go look on e-bay for some great deals on fishing books.

Yep. I use it for cutting catfish bait.
