I was looking for info on Gars I know there two different speices of Gar. But i can't find anything about this speices on this sight. I think it is a speices that need to be investagated with some diligence. From what i understand it reaches large sizes and is a awesome fighting fish. I just didn't know why there is not more info about this speices here. I mean it is a North american speices and deseves some credit dose it not

Hey Bones84, there's a whole forum dedicated to Gar here. Just scroll down the page, you'll find it.

I seen that i was looking in the fish speices infomation section in the encyclopedia. If you look under the magizine tag and click on the enclcyopedia section there is no info on Gars.

Interesting....I see what you're talking about now. There's no info on carp either, or channel cats, or flatheads!

    Guys:
When we introduced the Encyclopedia with the new website design a while back, we stuck with the most popular gamefish species. Judging from your remarks, it might be time to update it. In the meantime, check out the Gar thread in the forum, as MO65 suggests. Kurt--North American Fisherman Editor
