I've been a life member for a while now and haven't had the chance to" field test" anything worth while.   What is up with try "this.com thing" and "that.com thing. These web site product tests things may be useful, but i want to get out and  try products i can use on the water or the ice.  You know, something i can actually touch and feel and catch something with. C'mon now this is ridiculous.

Ahh but know were did it say that the product one gets to test was worth a darn to start with. Remember one has to fit the manufactures requirements these are marketing firms that are working for the manufacture of a product. NAFC IS A MARKETING FIRM not the manufacture.

what i like er should i say laugh about all this stuff about product testing......

1st. it seems ta be always in the wrong season for using--like the 1 lure i got-- was time sensitive and i got it as the ice was forming on the lakes.
2nd. the last product i got was so damage when it arrived that i had no idea what it was and by the time i got an answer as to what it was it was already being featured in the magazine
3rd. or as many have said....what was sent to them was so worthless ya wonder way even bother......like them weedless hooks they send out to everyone as the first product to test. er them bullet worms.....the hard head, rubber body worms they sent out ta everyone....i believe ta just move thru a bunch of names
4th. and i like this one.....i was sent the fillet knife set to field test.....they are not bad.....i tested them and sent in my info like they ask for.....and about a year later they sent me the same knife set........lol

now with that said....i do know of a few people that have gotten good products to test......such as augers for ice fishing, a friend of mine got a 4 horse 4-stroke honda motor back when they where 1st coming out and he still uses it. was talking with a guy a few years ago that came into the store i work at--claimed he got a kayak from the club to field test......so you see there is good and bad with this field testing thing.............and along time ago i learned ya except the bad, enjoy the good and have fun with your new friends ya make on this site.

I sent them a letter and ask them what there defination of a profile was as i fish all year and fresh and salt and they keep telling me that when something that fits my profile they will send it and every month the things i use are in the product testing is in the magazine so i guess my profile is differant then theres. they did answer and say that i would be getting something in a few months .
