Not sure, it is working for me. Make sure you are using your email address to log in and not your NAFC user name. Other than that I have no idea what it could be as long as you are not mistyping your password.

I'm not a huge fan either, but I definitely prefer it to losing the ability to product test if that was the other option

Bass or Bass did you prefer what we had before .  wait and wait  and wait then get to test  something lame .

At least you have the option to pick the item and it can be hunting or fishing related. I'm not saying I will be picked to field test the item but then i was not getting picked before either . Seems to me like it will be like a lottery draw . Just remember if you do get chosen it never hurts to send the manufacture a thank you letter as it could lead to other test opportunities and discounts on other products . Just saying you never know.

And being that it also puts the manufactures in direct contact with its members buy advertising and selling products through stuff stuff you may get better things to test  or better discounts  on gear .

IT JUST WOULD OF BEN NICE IF THE EMAIL CAME OUT BEFORE THE CHANGE.
AND IF LUE AND ME  DID NOT POST A COMMENT ABOUT IT ON FACEBOOK THAT MAY NOT OF EVEN CAME .

Howdy RT...how ya been? As far as I can tell, completing a review is a must to get your points back. I just got an email from stuffstuff saying I was selected to test some line, and sure enough, I lost 25 points. But, under FAQ, it says I'll get those 25 points back, plus a chance for extra points by including pics or posting report on other sites. Sounds pretty good...guess we'll see.

You are right Mo. When I log in it says that I am not eligible to test another product until I write a review of the one I am testing now. So you need to write the reviews to get points back and also to protect your eligibility.

Personally, I couldn't care less about the field test aspect of NAFC, I've gotten 4 items over 5 years. All stuff I could afford to purchase if I wanted them and nothing I'd ever buy again. The field test program seems to be the single biggest cause of disappointed customers, so I'd eliminate the program all together if I had my say, and concentrate on publishing the best magazine and running the best fishing web site on the net to attract and keep good members. But that's just my opinion. What do I know? I only run a successful small business (no thanks to the current white house administration!).

I dont see how there are any complaints. The have 2 expensive crossbows for only a hundred points. Valued at over 800 dollars.
Plus I was always happy with whatever I tested before stuff stuff. I got an excellent fillet knife, Great fishing line and more.
I have even come home and been suprised with a package to test in the mail.

Don't hold your breath retired. I just recieved a e-mail from Leah at "stuff Stuff" heres a small clip of her letter  "I looked into your account and noticed that you are currently not applied for any products. We cannot send you products to test until you apply for products for us to choose you from."
Funny isnt it, I did what was asked only had enough points to apply to test some line and when asked whats taking so long they say I didnt do my part. Who in thier right mind changed to such a lousy system that only favors people with more social media time than fishing and being outdoors?
Don't know about you and the others but I would rather put my chances to the wind than how many times I log into facebook while fishing. What a loosing system. Good thing I didnt sign on to "LIFE MEMBERSHIP" just to get free stuff becuse Hell would freeze over for Ice fishing b4 I get any "point" to use.  STEVE PENNaz where are you and why did you let this happen to you club.

Keeping political views out of fishing might get better results on replies and as for this administration you have everything to thank for it. Just think how busy you would be if your party stayed out of the way and stopped fillibustering everything all in the name of politics and acually did something besides obstructing this countrys growth. You might be too busy to post your lopsided short handed opinions because of being too busy at work. See what happens when you get political on a social fishing site, get   your facts right b4 posting and go check the records on what I say. It's all there for your review.

I currently have 66 stuffstuff points...but I also got the email about Yum Moneyhounds. Although it isn't one of the high end items I was hoping for...its way better than the previous testing program here. As a matter of fact, this will be the second item received since the conception of this new program. Way better than the old program, in which I received nothing. Contrary to a lot of posts here...building those 66 points was not that hard...I'm no facebook guy. You might as well spend a few minutes building some points folks and enjoy this program. Currently, it seems to be about all the club has to offer.

No the product that came with the book offer is a gift for reviewing the book it's yours to keep.
If you keep the book you will get a bill for it and you will start to recieve other books every couple of months. They are great books I have the complete set . however if your not interested in them send them back .

To sign up for the product test click on field test above and follow the directions . once you log in to stuffstuff take a look at the FAQ link it explains how to get more points how to apply for products etc.

hope this helps Welcme to the Club

Who came up with the point system? Why would I waste 100 points on a $70 tackle bag when I could spend the same 100 points on a kayak that costs over $1200? I signed up for a 10 point test over two months ago, and havent heard anything since.

First, they probably have about 50 of the tackle bags and one kayak to give out. Not much chance of getting the kayak. Also, technically, you're not spending the points. Once you've completed the review you get the points back and then some.

You applied for ONE item? Heck, I keep my list at 10 items (the max). I received my third item since stuffstuff was set up today.

Bassbum> someone asked the same question on the stuffstuff FB page today they said the same thing pater47 said: with the smaller low point products they get anywhere for 100 to 1000 plus and with the higher point more expensive products 1 maybe 10+ depends on the product . you have a better chance of getting a product if you keep your dashboard full just like before you win some and lose some difference is you have a one in ten chance of getting picked if you keep it full .. as a member of stuffstuff you can choose any 10 product your interested in from any topic fishing ,hunting , or home imp. sections.

One more thing you said you signed up for a 10 point product 2 month ago if the product you picked is still on your dashboard you are still on the list once they get enough member to fill the number of product that they have (example let say they got 1000 pieces of the product you liked) they wont release it until they get 1000 members signed up . the product will be removed from your dashboard when they get those numbers if you are one of the members selected to test that product you will get a e-mail and see it on your dasboard that you were selected if your not selected you will not get the e-mail replace it with a different product.

It appears that all the members who either got disgusted by the sign-up process or just plain didn't have time to fool with it have left the few of us who did in a better position to receive goods. I've seen many comments now from members already on their 2nd or 3rd item. Compare that to the old system...where nobody was getting anything. Do yourselves a favor folks...sit down...spend 15 minutes of your time and get onboard!

P.S.  On the contrary, from the other side of the fence, I'll have to agree, some of the items offered aren't worth some peoples 15 minutes...hee hee.

I amcurrently testing my fourth product in three months. First was the Seaguar Kanzen Braid (15# test). After that was the YUM Money Hound. Then there was a My Topo Map ($50 Website credit). I decided to try testing stuff other than fishing stuff so I signed up to test a paint roller in the Home Improvment section and I received the Purdy paint roller. I am really happy with Stuff Stuff as I have received more test products in the last three months than in the past fifteen years as a Life Member of the NAFC.

I also have had trouble with this URL links to your posts on reviews. Just about every post I linked to has been rejected also. some links won't even "take" when entered. I even got one email saying you can't get points for a post on a thread started by someone else...it has to be you starting the thread! I'm hoping I misunderstood that, because that is ridiculous. Ay any rate, the system sure is buggy, hope it can be simplified.

I was recently selected to test the Cabela's Advanced Anglers Tackle Bag. It was the first item I ever applied for.

The product was great, so my review on both the Stuffstuff website and the Cabela's website reflected my opinion. I started with 50 points, wrote the reviews, submitted them in a timely manner and included two digital photos. My point total went from 50 to 73.5.

The Club did everything they said they were going to do and so did Stuffstuff - who could possibly ask for anything more?

There is currently nothing available that I may be interested in testing, so I'll wait until there is, reapply and hope to be fortunate enough to be selected again. I personally think Stuffstuff is a great improvement over the previous system.

Mickeysccc, I can assure you Stuffstuff is not a scam. My previous post (3/12/13) reflected my opinon of both the NAFC and Stuffstuff.

Gpendleton, why would you post statements like that? Also, if you've been trying to tell us that the NAFC is a ponzi scheme, why does it appear you've only made two posts?

i am also having problems logging in to stuffstuff. nothing seems to work. is it a scam?

StuffStuff uploaded a fix so member could use their smartphones on friday don't know if that was what caused the logging to not work this afternoon  as I was not able to log in either,...As for SS  is not a scam it is ten times better then what we had before..

Make sure to read the FAQ link it will walk you through how SS works

    Have a great fishing season

You are only guaranteed one test product a year. You may get two but all they have to do is send one a year. And not everyone want to Facebook and tweet all day I don't need a computer to have friends or to have someone "like" me just for one point I could run out buy the stuff test it fill in the report. But who has time for all that. I know I don't need other people opinion to make up my mind weather or not to buy the product. Just seem to be a pipe dream ido just the all they ask not moved up any faster. If you what to realy test go to Fishhound.com join that club it is all about testing I get products every day to test just have to pay shipping.

I am a member of fishhound .. and several other test sites. I've been a member here for over 15 years have made freinds and fish with 50 plus members every year I didn't join the club for the free stuff so if all I get is one product a year thats fine with me. all I'm saying is what we have now is 10 times better then what we had .

Best of luck this fishing season may your livewell always be full

I am not a member of Facebook or Twitter either, and I don't have any desire to be. I was selected to test a Cabela's tackle bag, wrote a timely review that included two or three digital photos and I also went to the Cabela's site and wrote a short review there. I went from 50 points to 73.5 points and I got a pretty nice tackle storage system to keep! I don't care if I get selected again right away or not - testing gear isn't the reason I belong to this Club.

Just a couple weeks ago a fellow Club Member (that happens to be confined to a wheelchair) shared a personal fishing story that mentioned a Lake Erie charter that can accommodate wheelchair anglers. He didn't know it at the time, but I happen to have a Nephew that would love to fish Lake Erie, but I certainly can't get him (200 lbs) or his chair (300 lbs) onto my boat. Thanks to this Club Member, I now have the solution to a problem I've been working on for a decade!
I hope some of the information I post can help others too - THIS is why I belong to this Club.

Glad to hear they're working with you to get this ironed out. The Club may not be the fastest group in the world to respond to a Customer complaint, but I have no doubt they'll make things right with you.

Welcome to the Club - there are some really great people here!
