I Live in New York, I read about how walleyes are recently liking bass hardbaits... I went out this year with spinners and some double spinners. I hooked a nice northern pike. I am currently fishing a river, I want to catch some walleyes from land. I pinpointed a nice inlet converging onto river... I couldn't hit the "hole" the debris was in my way... Soo I tried what the magazine suggested, I casted towards rapaids near calm. Then worked my way inland, once I was in the inlet I got a nice 22 inch Northern. But I still want a good walleye, any tips for a land fisher on river to bring in a nice walleye?

If you have a river that holds walleye and has a dam, you can usually find walleye just below the dam in spring, about the time of the spawn in your area or just before. I feel your pain with the northern, I catch more northern when fishing for walleye than when fishing for pike!

Welcome to the BB pboyce. What part of NY are you from? I like crawler harnesses for walleye.
