in the summer of 09 in barlow texas i was fishing with my best freind in a comunity pond on a boat. I was fishing with a cheap 20 doller rod and reel i was using a yellow and white rattel trap, i was fishing for bass. the first cast in our new spot i went over a log for a second there i thought i was hung but i wasnt there was a fish on the line he took off under a log but i barley manage to get him out, i got him out from under the log and finish realing him in it wasnt a bass it was a crappie. 
   later on that day we look up the texas record for crappie i was about a pound under the record i was happy
i couldnt tell you the size of him or the texas record i slept sence then.
