Every year, my family and I go camping upstate NY, to veg out and get away from the city. It was this past summer where my daughter caught her first bass. We were fishing Lake Welch, it was about 8am...I just casted out my pole...and gave it to my daughter while I set up her pole. I told her to twitch the rod up and down 3 times and then reel in the line 3 times and then keep repeating...but do it slow. I had a Senko worm Texas rigged. So now she starts twitching...really slow and methodical...and counting like in slow motion...ONE...TWO...THREE...After the second go around she tells me "daddy, I'm stuck"! I tell her twitch it harder, maybe it will come free...So she does...and bam!!! The rod is bent over...and line is starting to peel off...I tell her Skylar...you got a fish!!!! Reel...Reel..Reel!!!! She Starts screaming...waking up the whole camp ground...She reeled the fish in...here it is: We continued to fish that morning, catching two more, She won the pool...lol
