I have been thinking of a way to get my point out, without getting everyone in upset or disgruntle. The emblem of this club has 2 styles and in my point of view the large patch that was sent out when we became lifers. The large patch is more colorful and it looks like a fish and the other looks okay, but in my own opinion this emblem should be okay for regular yearly members. But I prefer the large patch and get the club to send out stickers or window stickers for our vehicles. So what do you feel the patch to be the old or the large patch we going the mail?

If they would change the color of the large patch I would consider your ideas., but right now I would not wear the large patch in it's present form. Give it a differenct colored background and see what happens.

I know they offer the Trophy Life Memebr decal for the vehicles, all you have to do is ask customer service for them.  Not sure about the old style member decals for your vehicle.

now the big patch would look nice as a window or vehicle patch if they did a clear back ground instead of the ugly skin tone .
heck it even make a decent tattoo

but as a hat or jacket patch i don't care for the back ground colour. skin tone brown is not to classy .

I agree with all of you, I was thinking maybe black back ground, gold letterings ,normal color of the fish and the water , green trees. The old design just to old and need to reach out and say join me. I don't know how the club will ever look over this idea.

I would like to see more boat decals...seems more important to me to have the boat decals rather than the vehicle decals.

I prefer the old style, but the idea of making the new style as a window decal removing the skin tone/pink color would be a good idea,My issue with the life member decal is that it sticks to the inside of the window and if your windows have factory tint you can't see the decal from the outside unless your looking for it from a few feet away.I've asked my Wife  to sew my new LM patches to the seat covers of  the van on the head rests but I believe that I my have been crossing a line of some sort, she's not exactly thrilled about all the fish stickers on the back window of the family mini van.

Not everyone has a boat. I think there is probably more shore fishing members then boat fishing members. I have stickers on two boats and my truck.

I received the large patch at the same time that I bought rain gear. It looks good on the jacket and others have given good coments. I like the idea about having the large patch as a vehicle sticker. The ones that were sent with my patch did not stay on the truck very long (2 months). A clear plastic with better glue would be a good idea. Just a thought.

Nice looking patch Dennis I like it. what about a Trophy Life Member patch. One other thing please don't take it wrong because it is a really nice looking patch, but being itis a life member patch I feel the lettering should be in gold. Juat a though. any way good job.

Here is the remake of the patch, I hope this is okay with everyone. To me it looks pretty good I could have done better free hand. But then I would have to photo or copy it or scan it. Then upload to Photobucket.com  so here it is. Sorry everyone but the last time I looked at the posting  didn't see this so that is why I have 2 photos of this patch.

    Wow,

People actually wear the patch? LOL! When I got mine, it was SO B I G that couldn't figure out where to place it!

Also, you mention about decals? I only got stickers when I became a lifer. The stickers faded, and when I junked out the old truck they were on, all that was left was the triangle.

Dennis:  Very Nice job!  Now if the club wold just REDUCE the size, if they accept this it would be a LOT BETTER.  Let's keep the fingers crossed.

    Dennis:

Have you done anything on the patch design besides posting it here on the site, like submitting it to some one at the Club itself?  It would be nice if they could reduce it in size like a shoulder patch or something along that line.  Just wondering??

I posted a link to the thread on the nafc face book wall and I see Dennis also posted on the NAFC face book wall too and included the picture
and got some others to reply so perhaps it will take of from there .

thanks Dennis. here is one of the replies from the club it self.

North American Fishing Club Dennis, I like what you did with the patch -- it looks good. BTW, I'm not sure if "all the memebrs" are unhappy with the patch because many Life Members have given positive feedback on it. Anyway, I think it's cool how you re-painted yours.Wednesday at 7:46am · ·

I have mention this on Facebook website and this forum. You would figure the club monitor and research some of the questions or problems that came up. But not sure what else to do. I may contact the man himself and propose it. I like to see a shoulder patch and back patch and even decals so on!
