If you are home on leave,TDY or waiting to be mobilized,ANDjust happen to be around the area on May 3rd through May 6th, WHY don't ya'll come on out for the 1st Annual Ohio Meet being held at the West Branch State Park/Kirwan Reservoir. You can take this as a personal invite if you wish from myself and the committee members of the first ever established Ohio Chapter of the North American Fishing Club.
West Branch is located near Ravenna,OH. Directions to the S.P. and the Meet are as follows:From I76 East of Akron get off at the exit for State Route(S.R.)14, turn left onto SR14 and go NW to Booth Rd.- turn right, follow to Rock Spring Rd. and turn left onto Rock Spring and go north and go to the other side of the lake to Esworthy Rd. and turn right onto Esworthy Rd.,. Follow to and through the entrance to the camping and we will be in the group areas of lots A & B. Or from SR 5: go East on SR5 from Ravenna and go past Knapp Rd to Rock Spring and turn right onto Rock Spring and turn left onto Esworthy and follow to the campsites.
We have MANY events planned including: Family Cookout on the 3rd(Burgers and Dogs + lots of extras),Ohio Species Fish Fry on the 4th and a Raffle and Auction on the 5th. Included in the raffles, and no this is not a typo,we are having a special raffle for a chance to win not 1,not 2 but 3 Lake Erie Charters. The Winner of 1 of these Charters gets to take him or herself along 5 guests of their choice for a FULL day of fishing of their Choice on the waters of Lake Erie with either PlayinHooky or Rising Sun Charters. For MORE info please contact BigDog at bigdg68@wmconnect.com or scroll down to Fishing Partners/Ohio and check out the 'buzz' about the MEET.
Oh...and if you are not a NAFC Member? Don't worry about it. ALL are WELCOME. Thankyou for letting me bend your eyes/ears and Thankyou for your service from All of Us in this Great Country we live in. And from one Combat Vet to All of You:"I know firsthand that the price of Freedom all to often comes with a very, very high price. And I pray for each and everyone of our brothers, our sisters, our daughters, our sons and 'my sons',who are serving both home and abroad, that you all will return home to us safe and sound. And to the family's of those,of whom have lost a loved one,I shall never forget the ultimate sacrifice they have made, for ALL of us, in the name of FREEDOM". Skeeter
