How can we comtact them, how can we let them know that we have boats and willing to take them fishing. I have plenty of gear and I'm a retired disabled Vet myself.

One way to get know is at the VA Hosp if you have one close to you.  They at times have fishing tournaments and asking people if they have boats to take a Vet fishing.  The VA Hosp In Des Moines sponsor tournaments every once in a while.  Might want to try the VA website or call the administrator.  Hope this helps.  I am also a retire Vet.

Here in Pittsburgh they have a org called soldiers and sailors where vets meet to look for work, socialize, have groups where they can talk about things bothering them, they even hold dances for the singles. Maybe see if there is such a place in your area where you can post contact info on a bb or web site.

Good Day, I would like to respond to kodiakfish the question on how we notify the Vets.  I am stationed in Virginia and most Military communities (military posts) has community newspapers.  You can advertise in the paper at no cost if you are not receiving a profit.  I know veteran from as far away as Fort Bragg coming to this area to take advantage of the free trips offered by our Veterans here on the Chesapeake Bay.  That is just one-way to get the word out, and believe me, if you are offering a free fishing trip to any veteran who is an angler; they are not going to pass it up.

Is there a way to indicate a member of NAFC as a Vet? I am a vet and proud to have it indicated in my profile. But, having a NAFC Veteran Registry could make it easier to locate vets with in a region(s). Maybe a special area or link within NAFC to identify potential fishing buddies who are vets? Veterans especially VFW past and current could use this registry to network possible fishing trips and such. Just and idea, I am sure there are others who have probably asked this same question or made a like suggestion. Vets, thank you for your service. NAFC Thank you for allowing the recognition.
    USA Veteran and Proud.
