rod and line recomendation

    I recieved a Shimano Solstace 1000 R/H for christmas. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what rod, and line they would recomend for small bass, and pan fish?

    I would mate it up to a BPS Micro Lite and use Trilene XL. I have a bunch of those combos and I wouldn't use anything but those.

    BUTTERHOOKS, I have 4 BPS micos and I really like them, also. Can't bet the price, either.

    I like the Shakespeare Ugly Stick rod. For line I like to use the Shakespeare Cajun Line (Cajun Red Cast) Monofilament.

    Yup, I like them ugly sticks too. I`d go with 6 or 8 pound Trilene XL line.

    i have several rod/reel combos that i use, but my everyday rod and reel is me berkley cherry, 7ft, mid/lite action. shimano reel spooled with 6 or 8lb. trilene xl.
