I recently bought a spool of Triple Fish Fluoro to use as leader material. I am having trouble with my snells coming untied (Uni snell knot). Anyone else had this problem? The Uni snell seems just fine with Seguar fluoro and mono, the only place I am having a problem is the Triple Fish. For now I'll just change knots, but it is strange to have a problem with only one brand of line! Tom

I use Triple Fish Fluoro quite a bit, but I don't snell hooks. I use a palomar knot and haven't had any problems with it.

I fish a lot of live bait and have found that octopus circle hooks really cut down on the gut hooking. A snell knot is the best way to tie an octopus hook. I have a couple ideas to try, I hope the weather holds long enough to get it figured out this season! Tom

Nail knot. I've swapped out my uni knots for nail knots now. Works better, but more of a hassle to tie.
