    i need help figuring out the bass patterns in the winter i catch one off a swimbait... and then i wont get another bite over a weeks time and more.... then ill use something else and get a few hits and nothing will hit it again the entire winter...... tips would be very helpful

    The only way anyone can offer useful advice, especially when approaching the cold months of winter is to state the lake name or at least general location and type of fishery (river/lake/pond), whether fishing from shore/bank or boat/tube/wading/etc., and any other facts about your situation. Otherwise all we can do is offer some generic advice applicable to the entire nation, most of which would not apply to your area. The problem with that....some areas will soon be iced over while some of us are swatting mosquitoes and sand flies while fishing, stripping globs of green hydrilla off our baits.
