Ok, First off I am wondering if anyone knows how fast catfish digest their food? I recently was down in NW Arkansas for a few days fishing with all the flooding going on and was cutting the stomachs open of all the cats we kept. Was only 10 over 5 days. Mostly Night crawlers, Grubs, minnows, Crayfish and bluegills, But, There was ONE Notable exception, See attatched picture. The Phone is about 3 1\2" long.  YES, this came out of the belly of a channel cat that was about 30 " long.

On my last fishing trip last month I caught a 6 pound channel cat on my flathead cat rig. My bait on that rig was a 7 to 8 inch live bluegill on an 8/0 hook!

I always keep a small packet of Wet Ones in my tackle box, just in case I have to wressle with a carp, if you catch my drift.

Anyway, those catfish will eat nearly anything.  Did you hear about the Flathead Catfish that tried to consume a kickball?  Some guy had to rescue it so it wouldn't choke to death.

i remember reading some where in a book this guy was using live bluegill for bass, It was like a 6 or 7 inch bluegill and he said i'm a firm beliver in "The bigger the bait, The bigger the fish.", He caught like a 2 pound bass on it.

I caught a 20" bass off a 5 or 6" Bluegill.  It was really surprising!
