Has anyone ever been to Lake Gregory's Kid trout tournament? I went a few weeks ago and only caught one trout 1.5# from a row boat in the am. Granted I had one cold and cranky 3-year old and a 6 year old who was our winner (1 Barbie kiddie pole!). The weather was very cold and windy. I didn't like the north shore because of the weeds but next time I'll go to the parking lot on the south side. Luckily my wife came along and helped with the kids. Hopefully we'll have better luck because the trip from Long Beach is tough with kids. Anybody have recommendations? Appreciate it. Colaiza1965

I have been going to Gregory for many years. Usually at least 2 to 3 times a year.We go up the hill to the cooler weather when it gets too hot during the summer in the low lands. It gets too cold up there during the other seasons and if the wind kicks up you can forget it.I have had my best luck from the south shore over by the baseball diamond. It's great you're taking the little ones fishing. GOOD LUCK.

Thanks, I found out about the wind the 1st time I went. It was cold and miserable and my 3 year old had a bad day. I'll probably head out this summer. The kids can swim and I can fish!
