Boy Howdy, me neither! But guess what....the bass probably haven't seen one either and that's EXACTLY what a big hawg is apt to slam!

I'd give it a shot for sure! The buzzbait I mean... try both but them rattlin rap type cranks have never worked for me or anyone else in my immediate vicinity. |

I wonder if '151 ever tried that crazy looking buzzbait? I still say it would probably kill 'em. |

Same here. Lipless cranks don't work in these parts. |

I'd use that crazy buzzer on the flats man! I have never had any luck on the rattle baits. I believe they make them to be too loud and scare the fish. I’d never use a rattle bait in the spring either. Them bass are spooky |

I agree with ariess about the buzzbait, lily pads seem like the prime area for that buzzbait, I'll be interested to see how it works, keep us posted! As for the rattlebait issue, I'm with the general consensus, I've never had a lipless crank work for me. I just think it's hard to get it to run correctly because theres very little you can tune on it. Just my observation. |

Figures...odd man out again! But I gotta tell the truth, I'll be catching 'em in a few weeks on those lipless cranks. They work great in early spring here, especially the suspending lipless cranks. When they catch in the grass, rip 'em loose, then pause. Red is my favorite color in spring, looks like those newly molted crawfish. The chrome like '151's in the summer, then brown matches those crawfish in the fall.

I have so many other baits that work well I have no use for the lipless cranks because they simply don't produce results. Maybe some who do fish them have luck on occasion, or fish stocked ponds or something, I don't know. But up here hardly anyone uses them. |

Must be an individual thing. I have good success with lipless cranks but can't fish plastic worm worth a darn and everyone knows they work!

Lip-less crankbaits are awesome! The key for me is to change up the retrieve. I hardly ever get as many bites just reeling it straight as I can ripping it, sweeping it and letting it flutter,or even stopping it and shaking it for a second or two and the continue cranking it |

I caught my first decent bass of 2012 on a Cotton Cordell red Suspending Super Spot....yep....a lipless crank! There is a photo of it on turnip's thread Who Caught a Fish Today? http://www.fishingclub.com/my-nafc/forums/aft/56611 |
