    Im thinking about getting the skeet reese combo (rod and reel). is it a good rod and reel combo?

    My buddy has one i think it is the crank bait and he loves it. I used on one of our trips for about an hour it was graet. I don't have one but would like to get one ( i put it on my with list for xmas so i hope santa bring one ) welcome to the club and fourms ...John

    Haven't tried one personally, but I've heard lots of good about them. They're made by Wright & Mcgill, who also makes eagle claw. I have one of their Powerlite combos, and it is top notch!

    Yes the Skeet rods are good ones, I don't think you could go wrong with one . I have 5 and have never had a problem with them.

    I was at Kentucky Lake last year and a buddy of mine went to cast with one and it broke about a foot down. Was a brand new rod. Probably a fluke but still thought Id post it

    I'm thinkin there was a fault with the rod, Mine are over 3ys old and never had a problem. Your friend could also have hit the tip area on something causing a nick where it broke. ???
