My daughter is 9 years old and I'm going to make her a bass themed Easter basket. In it, thus far, I know I'm going to put in a couple of packs of worms along with a pack of gummi worms. I might put in some paddle-tail swim baits and gummi sharks as well. Sadly, that's all that I have managed to come up with so far.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to other things that I should add. I'm planning to add worm hooks and bullet weights as well. However, I could use some ideas on more lures that would be age appropriate for a beginning bass angler. The more lure/candy combinations the better.
Thanks,

An Arbogast Jitterbug has to be the easiest lure in the world to fish. I'd add one of those.

Just make sure the gummy worms and fishing worms are clearly labeled, haha. Jelly beans and a jar of preserved eggs might be a good call, but that's not exactly a bass tactic. Thats about the best I can come up with at the moment.

How about a Hula Popper...like the Jitterbug...an easy lure for a youngster to master.
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, if it wasn't for my super smooth carbon drag, my 30 year old Trilene would bust!

It's funny how the mind works. When you try to think of something you can't, no matter how hard you try. I never even thought about those two classics. The Hula-Popper was the first top-water lure that I ever caught a bass on. Gander Mountain has the Arbogast Jitterbug and Hula Popper Triple Threat on sale for $10.39, which contains; 2 Jitterbugs and 1 Hula Popper. Now, if they have chocolate fish, I'll be in business. Thanks for reminding me and keep the ideas coming.
skewl: You're right, that's not exactly keeping the theme. However, it does give me an idea with jigs and m&m's. Thanks.

I made all my kids and grandson a basic kit that included a few spinner baits , a top water like a tiny torpedo or popper, a snag prof weedless frog . a few crank baits and a few bass jigs and some plastics . It is a very basic kit for bass .
Take a kid fishing , If the fish aint biting entertain them.
